The day began with a slight hiccup when the money machine ate my travel card. It would have to be Sunday and we leave London first thing Monday. An hour or two later we had it sorted and off we set again. An inconvenience more than anything so now we have one travel card between us
Today we set off on our separate ways. By now I was all wared out so Tony went off and visited the Imperial War Museum on his own while I set out to find my Berkenstock sandals for Italy which I did not find. Again I had to contend with 2 tube lines out for the day so I had a bit of extra walking to do. Apart from that it was great just taking in the sights of the city as I went.
We met up again at NZ house and then took in the sights of Piccadilly and walked back through to Trafalgar Square/Westminster where we picked up a tube back to our accommodation then called it a day.
We had walked our legs off over these last few days so we were ready for a break from the pavements. We felt we had covered everything we had planned to see except for doing the Thames walk however the Royal family took priority there. The more you see the more you realise you haven't seen. Overall we found the English people so helpful everywhere we went and their drivers are very patient and polite.
Outside Victoria Station. One of the many street scenes in London. They produced some great sounds from these plastic buckets, pots, pans & basins.
