We said our farewells to the lovely hosts at Orchard Lodge at Welford in Avon.They had been so helpful on places to visit in our limited time here and we loved every place they had suggested.
Bath was on our way back to Dorset so we decided to spend a few hours here for a quick look around. We took the park and ride into the city and then found the hop on hop off bus again which was a great way to get a feel for the place and listen to some of its history. After a quick lunch we took a walk through the Roman Baths and listened to the audio commentary. So ancient and fascinating to see how they lived in these times.
Another amazing place that oozes history.
After having a stroll about the city we bused back to the car park and continued our journey to Blandford Forum in Dorset. Unfortunately we had to take a detour due to road closure and finally arrived at Ken & Lynne's about 7pm then we all headed down to the pub where we met up with their friends for dinner. Another enjoyable evening.
