Today we took a drive to some Cotswold villages. First was Bourton on-the-water, Venice of the Cotswolds the absolute favourite.
Tony disappeared into the motororing museum filled with memorabilia while I had a wander through the village. After a quick cuppa we walked up to the model village a replica of Bourton on-the-water and built in local Cotswold stone. It was amazing and so realistic.
Next on the list was the picturesque village of Broadway with a great selection of quality shops in these beautiful historic buildings. We walked from one end to the next and stopped for a quick light lunch.
After a couple of locals had mentioned the village of Snowshill to be a pretty little place to drive through we headed on up to see for ourselves. They were right it was worth a visit with just the Snowshill Arms and lovely homes in this quiet place on the hill. After a wander through the village we made our way back home and called at the 'Bell Inn' the local pub just around the corner from our accommodation. We found a great little walking track that took us from the pub down towards the river and back home. There are so many beautiful public pathways around the countryside but time just doesn't allow you to stop for them.
